Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Financial Accountant and the Head of Finance to ensure all financial procedures are followed and records are up to date
- Raise and post sales invoices, chase outstanding balances, and resolve payment queries
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts
- Reconcile credit card statements and prepare schedules for posting
- Manage petty cash requests, ensuring correct entry and balancing of receipts
- Maintain clients' accounts, ensure invoicing accuracy, and reconcile monthly
- Prepare journal entries, maintain balance sheets, and support posting journals with documentation
- Assist in maintaining the purchase ledger, ensuring invoices are logged correctly and reconciled
- Maintain the asset register and update it in line with capital expenditure
- Support the Head of Finance in grant applications and maintain detailed records
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualifications by experience
- Experience in the care sector is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Knowledge of grant applications and funding processes
- Experience in preparing persuasive grant applications
Technologies:
- Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Sage
