About the Role

Cochrane Global is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Business Development Representative to join our team in the UK. As a Sales and Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating leads, meeting sales goals, and negotiating contracts with potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling and networking.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring that all terms and conditions are met.
  • Help determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to track sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and value of Cochrane Global's products and services.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs to maximize results.
  • Understand and promote company programs, including sales initiatives and product launches.
  • Travel internationally to visit clients and potential clients, evaluating their needs and promoting Cochrane Global's products and services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including contact information and sales history.
  • Answer client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in a B2B sales environment.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and able to build rapport with clients and prospects.
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with clients and prospects.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks, including Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
