About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Technician to join our team at EMCOR UK. As a Data Centre Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting and delivering a service within our large-scale account for AWE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, maintain, investigate, and acknowledge the Building Management System (BMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Conduct daily site checks to note and proactively repair any defects and maintain plant rooms in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.
  • Rectify and record defects to ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) timeframes are always met.
  • Review subcontractor competencies before work permits are authorized.
  • Ensure compliance and escalate any issues that affect the availability, health, safety, and security of the site.
  • Provide innovative solutions and recommendations to improve processes, building, plant, and systems.
Requirements
  • Strong Mechanical and/or Electrical Knowledge & experience.
  • Knowledge of Generators, Cooling systems, and UPS systems. Awareness of site criticality and work risks.
  • Served a full Technical Apprenticeship and hold a technical qualification (City and Guilds, HNC, ONC, etc).
  • 18th Edition, 2391 Test & Inspect, understanding of LV distribution systems, Critical site experience, or Data centre experience.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), L8 Certification – Not essential.
