Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance Specialist is essential in guaranteeing that our products adhere to rigorous quality standards. This role involves the development and execution of quality assurance protocols and our Quality Management System (QMS). Collaboration with sourcing, engineering, production teams, and our supply chain is vital to maintain and enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with established Quality Management System processes, work instructions, standards, and policies through internal audits.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure the safety of delivered products, addressing any product hazards promptly.
  • Maintain metrics and KPI dashboards to measure and report on internal operational and process performance, as well as that of suppliers against agreed targets.
  • Oversee inspections, reviews, and testing against appropriate criteria, ensuring results are documented and actions tracked.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards, including ISO 9001.
  • Update and manage the QMS, enhancing processes and work instructions through continuous improvement and lessons learned.
  • Conduct problem-solving and root cause analysis to capture, investigate, and resolve quality issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Support supplier quality management by evaluating and onboarding new suppliers and monitoring their performance.
  • Visit supplier facilities to assess compliance with standards and support product buy-offs or quality investigations.
  • Establish regular communication with internal functions, external suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in manufacturing, production, quality, or an engineering discipline, ideally with a minimum of HND or equivalent; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality management system standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in quality tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and Pareto analysis.
  • Experience in conducting internal audits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a program team and engage with various functions.
  • Prepared to constructively challenge and raise concerns that require attention.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel occasionally to support program needs.
  • Experience or knowledge of SAP, JIRA, and Power BI is advantageous.
