The Quality Assurance Specialist reports directly to the Shift Manager with a supporting line to the OEM Quality Department. The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for conducting assessments to identify faults and quality processes and creating work instructions for Containment Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Customer Engineers/Suppliers on new project set-ups to ensure correct Test Plans and authorizations are received.
  • Create comprehensive Test Plans covering the full requirements of the job from start to finish, including all tasks and responsibilities to be taken by the inspector.
  • Ensure takt time assessments are completed on all parts and the correct cost matrix references are allocated.
  • Update OEM systems with all required information.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to convey information effectively to the OEM customer and explain processes and procedures thoroughly to Inspectors and Supervisors.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication within the team, with SWJ staff, and with the OEM Quality/Mfg support teams.
  • Advise Customers' supervisors/team leaders clearly of all relevant concerns identified during ongoing evaluation activities.
  • Support the Group's continuous improvement culture by assisting the team in creating improvement suggestions and their implementation.
  • Assist in specific business activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties for which the Quality Assurance Specialist holds the appropriate skills.
  • As needed, cover the role of other Quality Assurance Specialists in their absence.
