About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Site Manager to join our team at Fawkes & Reece South. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering projects, ensuring that all site-based construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver projects, ensuring that all site-based construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
  • Client liaison throughout the scheme, ensuring that client needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Long, mid, and short-term programming of works, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Design development with consultant design teams, ensuring that designs meet client needs and are feasible to construct.
  • Management and mentoring of Assistant Site Managers, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Ensuring company health and safety standards are planned, communicated, achieved, and enforced, ensuring that all site-based activities are carried out safely.
  • Review of method statements and risk assessments (RAMS), ensuring that all site-based activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Organising deliveries of materials, logistics, waste management, etc., ensuring that all site-based activities are carried out efficiently.
  • Quality control, inspections, and test plans, ensuring that all site-based activities are carried out to the highest standards.
  • Ensuring works progress on programme, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Regular end-user liaison, working in daily contact with the school head and staff, ensuring that client needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Coordination meetings with trades and other managers, ensuring that all site-based activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Reporting on progress against programme, ensuring that clients are informed of project progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Issue resolution, ensuring that any issues that arise during the project are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Snagging and handover, ensuring that all site-based activities are completed to the highest standards and that clients are satisfied with the final product.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Site Manager who has a proven track record in managing and delivering projects. The successful candidate will have excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication, and problem-solving skills. A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management would be advantageous, but not essential based on experience. The successful candidate will also possess strong planning and problem-solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.
