Job Summary

AB & AJ is seeking a highly skilled Catering Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events, from setup to breakdown, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all products are prepared according to budgeting guidelines.
  • Oversee the preparation of all products according to no-food wastage policy guidelines.
  • Implement circular economy principles in the kitchen.
  • Perform cashier duties, including cash and direct deposits for corporate customers.
  • Supervise staff, execute opening and closing procedures, and ensure food hygiene and health standards are met.
  • Monitor product spoilage rates and ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
  • Oversee inventory control and ensure compliance with applicable state and local laws and regulations.
  • Compile and analyze sales figures, prepare proposals for marketing campaigns, and undertake market research.
  • Handle customer accounts and negotiate contracts with customers.
  • Recruit and train junior sales staff.
  • Produce reports and recommendations concerning marketing and sales strategies for senior management.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in management or marketing.
  • At least 2 years of food service experience in Western African food and restaurants or a similar experience.
  • Good knowledge of using the computer.
  • Ability to assist in cooking and food preparation when necessary.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored catering solutions.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a catering, hotel, or restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Proficient in food safety practices and culinary techniques.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
Work Environment

Full-time position with a competitive salary of £30,960.00 per year.

Monday to Friday schedule with weekend availability.
