About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Professional to join our team at Leonard Cheshire. As a Support Staff member, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Support: Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes, to ensure the well-being and dignity of our customers.
  • Escorting and Assisting: Safely escort and assist customers in and around the service, at external events, and appointments, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • Person-Centred Approach: Support our customers in achieving their individual aspirations and goals, promoting maximum independence and a high quality of life.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and families.
  • Flexibility and Creativity: Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families, adapting to their needs and preferences.
  • Personal Care Experience: Ideally have personal care experience, although this is not essential.
  • Teamwork and Pressure Management: Be able to work under pressure and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Be flexible to work within rostered hours and prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required.
