Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker at Leonard Cheshire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes, to ensure the well-being and dignity of our customers.
- Escort and assist individuals in and around the service, at external events, and appointments, promoting independence and community integration.
- Support our Person-Centred approach by encouraging maximum independence and helping individuals achieve their individual aspirations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience in care work or a related field, with a strong understanding of disability support principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
- Ability to work flexibly, including varied shifts and occasional overtime, to meet the needs of our customers.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a willingness to participate in training and induction programs.
