Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to children and adolescents with mental health needs.
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans and interventions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Hold a medical qualification and be registered with the GMC.
  • Have a CCT in Psychiatry or be on the Specialist Register.
  • Have Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician approval.
  • Have excellent clinical skills and knowledge in child and adolescent psychiatry.
  • Have experience of leading and managing a team.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of teaching and training junior medical staff.
  • Experience of research and audit projects.
  • Experience of working in a leadership role.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
