Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

About the Role
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our CAMHS Gateway team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
Main Responsibilities
As a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide individualized support and guidance. Your primary focus will be on delivering brief, outcome-focused interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties, primarily anxiety and depression.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should have a strong understanding of the CYP IAPT core principles and relevant specialist training. Additionally, you will need to be familiar with outcome measures and have the ability to facilitate group work.
