Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Adult Community Psychological Services team in Mid Essex. This is a fixed-term contract until 14th March 2025, and we welcome newly qualified applicants who can demonstrate the right skills and experience.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to service users with complex and severe mental health presentations. They will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, and contribute to the management and running of therapeutic programs.

Key Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Experience in specialist psychological assessment and treatment of complex mental health presentations across various care settings.
  • Experience in conducting neuropsychological assessments in adult services.
  • Experience in teaching, training, and supervision.
  • Experience of working within a team environment.
