Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Swindon CAMHS team as a Mental Health Liaison Senior Support Worker. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the CAMHS Mental Health Liaison Lead and CAMHS Practitioners, providing emotional support to children and young people in mental health crisis or with mental health difficulties.

Main Duties
  • Assist liaison clinicians in their clinical work with children, young people, and parents or carers.
  • Support qualified clinicians in their training of paediatric and A&E staff.
  • Work with the Eating Disorders team to provide meal support for children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Prepare psychoeducational materials for children, young people, and their families, and for use by other agencies' staff.
  • Organise materials for brief therapeutic input, under the supervision of a qualified clinician.
Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Five GCSEs at grade C/level 5.

Desirable Criteria

  • CPD in the area of children and young people's mental health.
  • A Levels or relevant Higher Education qualifications.
