Position: SEN Teacher - Autism Focus
Salary Range: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS)

Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher:

  1. Crafting and implementing tailored lesson plans and educational activities that address the specific needs of students with Autism.
  2. Utilizing evidence-based methods and interventions to foster students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
  3. Working in partnership with colleagues, families, and external professionals to formulate comprehensive support strategies that promote student well-being.
  4. Tracking student progress and adapting teaching methodologies to encourage ongoing development and success.
  5. Establishing a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for all learners.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification in SEN education.
  • Experience in working with students who have autism spectrum disorders or similar special educational needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices, interventions, and strategies in SEN education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and external partners.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practices.
