Role Overview:
As a SEN Teacher specializing in behaviour, you will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere for students with SEN. Your collaboration with students, families, and school personnel will be vital in devising and executing effective strategies for behaviour management and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver tailored and differentiated instruction to address the distinct learning requirements of students with SEN, emphasizing behaviour management and social skills enhancement.
  2. Partner with the SEN team to create and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour intervention strategies customized for each student.
  3. Employ positive behaviour reinforcement methods to inspire and motivate students, cultivating a respectful and encouraging learning environment.
  4. Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to exchange insights, strategies, and progress regarding the behaviour management of SEN students.
  5. Remain informed about the latest research and best practices in SEN education and behaviour management, participating in relevant training and workshops to continuously improve your skills.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience working with students facing behavioural challenges is preferred.
  • Strong comprehension of various SEN conditions and their effects on behaviour.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
