Management Accountant Opportunity

Gleeson Recruitment Group is delighted to be supporting a well-respected, high-profile business in their search for an experienced Management Accountant to cover a six-month secondment. This is a sole-charge position, where you will be working closely with the Financial Controller and the wider finance team to support the business with various accounting duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Financial Controller in producing and reporting monthly, quarterly, and annual Management Account Packs, as well as statutory audit information.
  • Manage the technical finance requirements of the ERP accounting system.
  • Support the Financial Controller in maintaining projects and contracts to ensure the integrity of revenue and margin reporting.
  • Assist with forward-looking financial processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
  • Maintain month-end reconciliations and post journals as needed, including fixed assets, inventory costs, journals, accruals, sales, and bookings reports.
  • Prepare schedules for annual audit.
  • Run month-end revenue recognition routines and troubleshoot system queries.
  • Manage the ERP accounting system, including opening balances, GL accounts, integrations, and error resolution.
  • Active involvement in project budget review cycles and maintaining systems with correct budgets.
  • Maintain the capex tracker of actual and forecast spend vs budget.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and other ad-hoc financial duties.
Requirements:
  • Part-qualified or finalist or qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Experience in using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of long-term contract accounting and inventory an advantage.
  • Intermediate/advanced level user of Excel.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to communicate with staff from all levels within the business.
