The Financial Control Lead role offers an exceptional opportunity to blend technical proficiency with practical application within a corporate setting. Key Responsibilities
- As we transition into a new Asset Management Plan (AMP) period, this role is vital for refining our Financial Controls Strategy and Framework, facilitating the organization’s readiness for success.
- This position is essential for supporting and holding our Delivery teams accountable, ensuring compliance with financial principles and controls.
- Accountable for generating monthly financial and governance control reports, with ongoing development in response to business changes and the evolution of the new AMP period.
- Manage relationships across all facets of the Capital model; primary business partners include Engineering, Asset Management, Capital Delivery, and Operational Directorates, along with colleagues in Strategic Business Planning and Commercial.
Qualifications and Skills
- A results-oriented mindset, complemented by strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Professional accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
- Proficient analytical skills, particularly with Excel and SAP.
- Experience in the utilities or water sector is advantageous but not mandatory.

- Competitive salary ranging from £65,000 to £75,000 per annum, based on experience.
- Annual Leave: 26 days of holiday per year, increasing to 30 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
