Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's team and support the quality department in developing systems and processes aligned with their growth strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing production processes, monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve the company's final products and processes to meet established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Auditing production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Supporting finished goods audit processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Preparing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness
  • Identifying, engaging with, and resolving workflow and production issues to minimize downtime and optimize productivity
  • Working in cross-functional teams to support new product introduction (NPI) processes and 8D investigations to identify root causes
  • Creating training materials and operating manuals in line with new processes and procedures
  • Participating in and contributing to process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA) workshops
  • Creating quality control plans to ensure compliance with quality standards

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of quality systems and processes
  • Familiarity with lean tools, 6 Sigma, or automotive improvement techniques
  • Strong team-working skills with the ability to work across departments
  • Strong ISO systems knowledge with the ability to implement and maintain quality systems
  • Demonstrable background in manufacturing businesses with ongoing NPI considerations
  • Experience in supporting the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives
  • A can-do approach with the ability to work on their own initiative
