About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Chief Medical Officer to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a senior medical leader, you will play a key role in shaping the clinical direction of our trust and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Chief Medical Officer as required, taking lead responsibility for corporate issues and providing strategic leadership to the trust.
  • Lead on the development and improvement of the trust's job planning process, including the development of consistency panels and team job planning professional standards.
  • Provide advice and guidance to medical managers on matters relating to maintaining high professional standards in the modern NHS.
  • Support the Chief Medical Officer in developing links between the CMO's office and the wider organization, ensuring effective engagement with clinicians at all levels.
  • Champion LGT and its services, promoting excellence in communication and engagement with staff, service users, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and leadership development.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in senior medical leadership roles.
