Job Overview

The Import Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in the import department at DSV Road Ltd, working closely with the import team to arrange shipments from Europe to UK-based customers. This position requires a self-driven individual with excellent attention to detail, a positive outlook, and a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Main Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with local DSV depots across the UK and Europe to ensure deliveries meet customer requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Manage bookings from UK importers, instructing UK Warehouse and Distribution teams for loading/offloading of cargo.
  • Liaise with other DSV offices in the UK and abroad, reporting discrepancies or specific requirements.
  • Ensure legislative compliance and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Perform general administration tasks, including invoicing, filing, and POD handling.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using Transport Management Systems.
