As a Controls Systems Specialist, you will become part of a dynamic division at SEGULA Technologies, which presents significant opportunities for professional development within a consultancy that collaborates with various clients across multiple sectors. Your primary responsibility will be to create, revise, and enforce control specifications and standards for manufacturing machinery and systems, ensuring seamless integration of IT solutions and compliance with safety regulations. This role encompasses various domains including mechanical systems, pneumatics, electrical engineering, PLC programming, and robotic software development.
Role Responsibilities
- Overseeing the comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of control systems and standards to guarantee production-ready equipment interfaces.
- Fostering strong collaborative relationships with other Manufacturing Engineering teams, Operations, and IT departments.
- Offering technical insights during problem-solving sessions to accurately diagnose root causes and implement corrective measures.
- Upholding Technical Standards, Project Documentation, and specifications for all manufacturing systems in accordance with departmental processes, global operating standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Managing interface specifications between Shop Floor PLCs/Applications and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
- Commissioning and enhancing machine monitoring and quality systems within production environments.
- Identifying and developing new suppliers in a cost-effective manner to align with the group’s Equipment Manufacturing Standards.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by your line manager that relate to your role.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience in the specification, implementation, installation, and launch of control systems, ideally within the automotive or propulsion sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and designs utilized in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) programming techniques.
- Awareness of machinery safety regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in PLC systems.
- Experience with Industrial Ethernet Networks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively.
- A proactive approach to challenges, viewing failures as learning opportunities.

- Contract Duration: 12 months+ (Fixed term or IIR35)
