Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our Transportation Division at AtkinsRéalis. As a Senior Planner, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our business by providing comprehensive project controls to our project teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates.
  • Provide project performance data, project schedules, and reports to project teams and clients.
  • Identify and report project deviations and slippages to senior management.
  • Ensure that all issues within the programme are highlighted and understood by senior management.
  • Deliver period programme updates and information regarding changes and delays that have impacted the programme.
  • Deliver necessary reports to allow senior managers to direct the project appropriately.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in the detailed planning of large complex transportation projects.
  • Strong technical background in the transportation industry, including rail and highways.
  • Excellent understanding of project controls techniques, including budget and spend management, change control, earned value management, data analysis, trend analysis, and work package management.
  • Experience of working on large projects up to £50m.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward manner.
  • Proactive, structured, and analytical approach to work, with a good eye for detail and data quality.
