About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Project Manager to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our ground engineering and tunnels team, you will be responsible for leading projects with a focus on railway geotechnics, supporting our growing workload in the UK and globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical projects with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and grow existing and new commissions, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Work in a Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) function on rail projects, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects, including commercial, technical, and operational teams.
  • Drive digital innovation and further develop our capability in advanced geotechnical analysis and design.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • A strong academic background with a relevant degree and ideally an MSc in a relevant subject.
  • Proven geotechnical analysis and design experience, with relevant experience in railway geotechnics.
  • Project Management experience, including commercial and technical aspects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to travel on short assignments, both within the UK and overseas.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
