This is a permanent, staff position with hybrid working arrangements.

The Construction Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing various elements of construction initiatives, encompassing planning, scheduling, budgeting, and the coordination of subcontractors and materials. You will collaborate closely with project engineers, discipline designers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion. Regular communication of project updates to all involved parties is essential, along with making informed decisions regarding any necessary adjustments to the project plan.

Your expertise will contribute to optimizing construction processes, thereby minimizing costs, enhancing quality, improving safety and productivity, and streamlining schedules to eliminate inefficiencies. The Construction Project Coordinator will assist in developing the Project Management Plan (PMP) and provide technical support throughout the identification, planning, execution, and closure phases of TAR/Outage events.

Collaboration with project controls and construction engineers will be vital in developing the construction schedule and proactively managing risks associated with it. You will also provide input on contracting strategies and during the bid clarification process.

As a senior member of the constructability team, you will guide the transformation of engineering designs into actionable construction work packs, oversee the work of others, and ensure the delivery of construction outputs meets the required technical standards to facilitate site activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Wood and Client TAR teams to deliver comprehensive construction work packs that detail all activities.
  • Act as the primary construction contact for all activities during the planning, execution, and closure phases.
  • Conduct offshore surveys during the planning phase to identify potential readiness blockers.
  • Develop Maintenance Orders (MO) with SAP to facilitate necessary support activities.
  • Provide offshore supervision during the execution phase of the project.
  • Contribute advanced discipline experience to enhance project methodologies and team development.
  • Oversee the constructability review of work packs, addressing complex issues and providing feedback to relevant leads.
  • Ensure timely completion of work packs to meet agreed-upon obligations and KPIs.
  • Provide advanced technical input to ensure scope readiness and execution.
  • Ensure all equipment is certified and managed cost-effectively.
  • Manage Site Technical Queries (STQ) from initiation to closure.

  • Ensure compliance with training requirements as per agreed matrices.
  • Raise service and material requisitions and manage offshore vendors.
  • Support the TAR Materials Controller in managing material movements effectively.
  • React to scope changes, informing necessary parties and completing change management documentation.
  • Verify installation quality and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Participate in audits and incident investigations as necessary.
  • Assess and improve working practices and systems for enhanced performance.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Assist in delivering project requirements to ensure contract satisfaction.
  • Prepare quality plans and documents in accordance with project and legislative requirements.
Qualifications

  • Typically qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma/apprenticeship) or possess equivalent qualifications and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Relevant construction experience in the industry.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of construction disciplines and processes.
  • Ability to identify delivery risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Experience interpreting discipline documentation.
  • Understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS), and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS).
  • Familiarity with technical specifications.
  • Awareness of business drivers within customer organizations and the impact of innovative designs.
Personal Attributes

  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in task completion.
