About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate General Practitioner to join our dynamic team at the Brighton Health and Wellbeing Centre. As a GP, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
• Hold surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion.
• Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
• Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
• Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
• Provide counselling and health education.
• Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
• Record clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
• Collect data for audit purposes.
• Comply and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible).
• Prescribe in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.

• Experience in managing a wide range of medical conditions and patient demographics.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team working and contributing to team-based care.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a variety of health conditions.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients, particularly disadvantaged populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
