Role Overview

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to provide crucial support to children with diverse needs in schools across Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health support to children with SEMH needs in schools.
  • Work with children with ASC, complex learning disabilities, and EHCPs to deliver individualised care.
  • Collaborate with a supportive local authority to provide tailored support for each child.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their best, regardless of their needs.
  • Create a positive learning environment using effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Support students in their personal and academic development.
Requirements
  • A compassionate individual passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  • A firm belief in every student's ability to make significant progress.
  • A rigorous, determined, creative, and inspirational approach to leadership.
  • The ability to use various communication methods to deliver engaging lessons and CPD sessions.
  • Caring and passionate about developing strong relationships with staff, students, parents, governors, professionals, and the local community.
