Role Overview

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing mental health support to children with diverse needs in schools across Newcastle and North Tyneside.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to children with SEMH needs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive approach.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the unique needs of each child, focusing on building self-esteem and promoting academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, using effective behaviour management techniques to foster a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Support the growth and development of students, assisting them in achieving their personal and academic targets.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support and a cohesive approach.
