About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our Executive Team as a Director of Sustainability and Innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our sustainability efforts and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead with Values: Invest in each individual to help them fulfill their potential and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Contribute to key strategic decisions to ensure positive and sustainable growth, and drive business success.
  • Collaborative Management: Use a coaching and collaborative style to meet individual, team, and company targets, and promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Client Relationships: Develop strong, trust-based relationships with key clients and stakeholders, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Environmental Performance: Support clients in significantly enhancing the environmental performance of their developments, ensuring sustainability is at the core of every project.
  • Pipeline Development: Contribute to developing a robust project pipeline focused on sustainable initiatives, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Marketing Input: Provide input into marketing and advertising efforts, highlighting our sustainability achievements and promoting our brand.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Scheduling and Resourcing Team and other Team Leaders to promote sustainable practices and drive business success.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: In the construction industry (e.g., surveying, sustainability consultancy, architecture, planning, construction, M&E).
  • Client-Facing Role: Experience of dealing with clients and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Education: A Bachelor's/Honours level degree and Chartered Engineer.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Personal Traits: Initiative, attention to detail, drive, strong communication skills, and a sense of humour.
