Financial Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Business Controller in delivering financial reports to the central office.
Manage the accounting processes for the UK and Ireland branches, which includes the preparation of monthly financial statements and inputting data into the financial reporting system.
Collaborate on monthly commercial assessments with the Business Controller, highlighting variances and identifying potential risks and opportunities for executive review.
Oversee the costing systems and transactions within the ERP system to ensure precision and efficiency in financial operations.
Foster relationships with various departments, supervising a team of direct and indirect reports.
Conduct General Ledger analysis and assist with tax submissions for both UK and Ireland entities.
Coordinate payroll submissions to external providers and prepare necessary documentation for annual reporting.
Support the budgeting process and provide updates as necessary, developing new financial models and reporting mechanisms.
Participate in Year-End Closing activities, addressing auditor inquiries and preparing annual financial statements.
Ensure adherence to Group accounting standards and compliance regulations.
Identify areas for improvement and potential profit opportunities.
Conduct margin analysis across various dimensions and implement corrective measures as needed.
Manage general administrative tasks, including office supply procurement and maintenance inquiries.
Qualifications and Skills:
Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience.
Proficient in Excel and SAP.
Demonstrated commitment, self-motivation, and integrity.
Strong team player with effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
Ability to prioritize tasks to meet stringent deadlines.
Attention to detail with a critical mindset.
Positive attitude and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Experience in the construction sector is advantageous.
Capable of simplifying complex data for clear presentation to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
