Position: Engineering Operations Specialist
This Engineering Operations Specialist will report to the Senior Operations Engineer and will be part of the UK Power Networks Services team. This is a permanent role.

Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver engineering tasks within the project team, focusing on new construction, asset replacement, and fault response.
- Act as a deputy for the Senior Operations Engineer, participating in client and contractor meetings.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to ensure safe and efficient project execution while minimizing service disruptions.
- Maintain safety management protocols throughout all engineering activities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage construction programs for both company-owned and client-owned assets.
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of all work programs.
- Lead project planning and execution, representing the company during client interactions.
- Oversee the work of technicians and apprentices to ensure effective delivery of engineering tasks.
- Assist in budget management related to construction and asset replacement projects.
- Support the achievement of company goals, particularly in client and staff satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Minimum 11kV Senior Authorised Person certification, with 33kV authorization preferred.
- Experience with distribution systems ranging from 400V to 33kV.
- Ability to obtain security clearance for client site access.
- Medical and drug screening compliance.
- HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Desirable:
- Understanding of UK Power Networks Services operations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Familiarity with Construction Design and Management Regulations.
