Position Overview

Northside Farm is in search of a dedicated General Manager to lead the operations and development of our renowned events venue, which includes on-site lodging. This position calls for an individual with a robust background in strategic planning, financial management, and hands-on leadership in the successful operation of an exclusive events space.

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in venue oversight, sales and marketing, as well as team leadership and financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business performance and create a strategic plan to drive future growth and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain operational and reporting systems and processes.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget effectively.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the team to achieve excellence.
  • Enhance and uphold the brand and reputation of Northside Farm.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive marketing and sales strategy.
  • Take the initiative in upgrading and managing the website, social media platforms, and all marketing materials.
  • Supervise the sales process, actively working to achieve monthly and yearly sales goals.
  • Drive the development of new business opportunities beyond weddings, including corporate events, private functions, and retreats.
  • Collaborate with the team to conduct tours for potential clients.
  • Ensure meticulous event planning by creating detailed plans for each confirmed booking.
  • Share responsibilities for client relations and event coordination with the existing team.
  • Provide event management support during events, ensuring the wedding manager has adequate time off.
  • Oversee bar operations, including stock management, pricing, and staff training.
  • Implement and manage an inventory and stock control system.
  • Coordinate all maintenance and security needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Manage housekeeping operations and procurement of cleaning supplies; recruit additional staff as necessary.
