About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Breast Cancer Services team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our breast cancer services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with breast cancer, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs for healthcare professionals, patients, and carers to improve breast cancer care and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and patient advocacy.
  • Contribute to the development of breast cancer services, including the design and implementation of new programs and initiatives.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits and service evaluations, to ensure high-quality patient care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist with a strong background in breast cancer care. The ideal candidate will have:

Registration as a Registered General Nurse with the NMC.A first-level degree in a related subject, or equivalent qualification.Post-basic qualification in breast cancer or a related subject, or willingness to undertake.Strong evidence of continual professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest breast cancer care guidelines and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
