We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Domestic Assistant to join our team at Houldsworth Centre. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Work effectively and efficiently to deliver high-quality services, meeting NHSL and HAI standards.
  • Support new staff in the working environment, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the development of individual tasks.
  • Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training and mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
  • Complete the NHSS Domestic Services Workbook and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and maintain effective written and verbal communication skills, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment, utilizing basic information technology skills.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
  • Ability to undertake on-the-job training and induction to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety, including participation in risk assessing individual tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
