The Role

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Assistant to join our team at University Hospital Wishaw, providing domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality domestic services, adhering to NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and induction to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
  • Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training and mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
  • Develop effective written and verbal communication skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic information technology skills.

Contract Type

Permanent, part-time, 9.9 hours per week.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in the Domestic Services department within University Hospital Wishaw, with a flexible working pattern between 6am and 10pm, depending on service delivery.
