POSITION SUMMARY


This position is tasked with providing support to the Asset ERS & Offshore Survey and Positioning teams in managing all ICT processes and associated activities. The primary focus will be on the upkeep, planning, and effective use of ICT survey and positioning assets, as well as third-party equipment.

The role will report directly to the local ICT Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Survey and Positioning team in accordance with departmental and project needs concerning all workstation hardware and software (Processing, Helmsman, Visulasoft).
Perform User Creation and Deletion administration tasks following relevant work instructions.

Execute Back Up and Restore Operation administration tasks to ensure data security and integrity, serving as the point of contact for vessel teams regarding VOC and remote support.

Maintain comprehensive documentation, including License Registers, Inventories, and IT procedures, as well as all vessel-related diagrams and inventories, in line with Asset requirements for Survey IT spreads and Ultimo asset tracking software.
Collaborate with Asset Engineers and workshop coordinators to optimize asset utilization for project and fleet support, including third-party vessels.
Coordinate with the Vessel Operations Centre (VOC) for all access permissions through the switch/firewall and related issues.
Ensure all IT spreads are serviced, configured, and available according to the Survey quality system and project specifications prior to deployment.
Provide support to Offshore Teams for all IT equipment issues and liaise with equipment manufacturers/suppliers to resolve technical challenges.

Stay informed about current requirements and, where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards, including statutory regulations.

Ensure that all activities align with the client's policies on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters, adhering to client-specific procedures.

Plan and implement procurement requests for equipment, spares, and consumables, tracking them through the procurement process as necessary.
Assist with vessel mobilization and demobilization by joining the Offshore Team or onshore team as required, setting up the IT infrastructure for new vessels and asset refits.

Actively engage in research and development within the Asset team to identify and cultivate new technologies and enhance internally designed solutions to meet project needs.


QUALIFICATIONS:
College or University degree in a relevant computer or computing field.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Win7/Win10), Windows Server (2008/2012), Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook.
Proficient understanding of Cisco systems, including Switches, Routers, and Call Manager.
Familiarity with Visulasoft, Allways Sync, and Backup Exec.
Experience in an onshore support environment is essential.
Extensive background in Desktop and Server support; VMware and SQL experience is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
Basic understanding of offshore survey operations.
Experience working within a Survey & Positioning department.
Familiarity with AutoCAD.
Training from equipment manufacturers.
