POSITION SUMMARY


This position is dedicated to supporting the Asset Management and Offshore Survey teams in overseeing all ICT operations and related tasks, with a strong emphasis on the upkeep, planning, and effective use of ICT survey and positioning assets, as well as third-party equipment.

The role will report directly to the local ICT Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide assistance to the Survey and Positioning teams in accordance with departmental and project needs regarding all aspects of workstation hardware and software (Processing, Helmsman, Visulasoft).
Administer User Creation and Deletion tasks following relevant operational guidelines.

Conduct Backup and Restore Operations to ensure data security, serving as the point of contact for vessel teams with VOC and remote support.

Maintain comprehensive documentation, including License Registers, Inventories, IT procedures, and all Vessel-related diagrams/inventories as per Asset Management requirements for Survey IT setups and asset tracking software.
Collaborate with Asset Engineers and workshop coordinators to optimize asset utilization for project support and fleet operations, including third-party vessels.
Coordinate with the Vessel Operations Centre (VOC) for all access permissions through the switch/firewall and address related concerns.
Ensure all IT setups are serviced, configured, and ready in alignment with the Survey quality system and project specifications prior to deployment.
Assist Offshore Teams with all IT equipment-related issues and liaise with equipment manufacturers/suppliers to resolve technical challenges.

Stay informed about current requirements and, where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards, including statutory regulations.

Ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with the company's policies on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters, adhering to specific procedures.

Plan and execute procurement requests for equipment, spare parts, and consumables, tracking them through the purchasing process as necessary.
Support vessel mobilization and demobilization by participating in the Offshore Team or onshore team as needed, setting up the IT infrastructure for new vessels and asset refits.

Engage in research and development within the Asset Management team to identify and implement new technologies and enhance internally developed solutions to meet project demands.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or diploma in a relevant computer or IT field.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows (Win7/Win10), Windows Server (2008/2012), Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook.
Solid understanding of Cisco systems, including Switches, Routers, and Call Manager.
Familiarity with Visulasoft, Allways Sync, and Backup Exec.
Experience in an onshore support role.
Extensive background in Desktop and Server support; VMware and SQL experience is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
Basic knowledge of offshore survey operations.
Experience within the Survey and Positioning department.
Familiarity with AutoCAD.
Training from equipment manufacturers.
