Lead and Manage a High-Performing Team in Waste Energy Recovery
FCC Environment, a leading waste and resource management company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee the Lincolnshire EfW facility. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future by transforming waste into valuable energy.
Your Responsibilities:- Ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Lincolnshire EfW plant, adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to a team of over 39 engineers, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that optimize plant performance, minimize downtime, and maximize energy production.
- Collaborate with the SHEQ team to maintain a robust safety culture, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with all applicable standards.
- Manage the financial budget for the facility, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to company objectives.
- Act as the primary liaison with Lincolnshire County Council, effectively managing contractual obligations and fostering strong client relationships.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, coupled with proven experience in EfW management.
- A deep understanding of EfW technology, waste management principles, and relevant industry regulations.
- Demonstrated success in leading and motivating high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving operational excellence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and concise communication with stakeholders at all levels.
