About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Operational Support team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Infrastructure across a variety of technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Infrastructure across a variety of technologies, including RHEL, Microsoft Windows Server, Virtualisation (Hyper-V), Microsoft Stack Technologies, and Networking technologies.
  • Technical Documentation: Author and contribute towards the creation and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation and provide material to support the project work or the operational support service.
  • Escalated Issues: Handle escalated issues from both 1st- and 2nd-line support, investigating and resolving advanced hardware and software problems, performing Root Cause Analysis as required.
  • System Upgrades: Manage system upgrades, installations, and configurations, collaborating with vendors and external support for specialised expertise.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentoring to lower-level support staff.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Excellent knowledge of Virtualized Environments, Windows Server Environments, Linux system administration, TCP/IP, and Networking technologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents ensuring these are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to directly engage with customers and colleagues.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to gain and hold security clearance.
