Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical / Hydraulics Service Technician to join our site service team and Technical Manager at Connect Personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic equipment, trouble-shooting equipment malfunctions, and consulting with customers on repair and safety-related issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify root causes to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on repair and safety-related matters.
  • Identify opportunities to generate sales leads during service calls and contribute to the growth of our business.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of work completed, including reports and inspections.
  • Contribute to process improvements and adhere to established procedures to ensure efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds, or NVQ equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Practical experience with hydraulic equipment and systems, with product training provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong grasp of the English language.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
  • Current driving license and willingness to work extra hours.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CSCS Card.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS.
  • Confined Space Training.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Forklift truck, MEWP, Crane experience.
