Mechanical Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Service Technician to join our team at Connect Personnel. As a Mechanical Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic equipment, consulting with customers on repair and safety-related issues, and generating sales leads during service calls.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  2. Provide expert advice to customers on repair and safety-related issues, ensuring their equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
  3. Identify opportunities to generate sales leads during service calls, promoting our company's products and services.
  4. Complete all necessary reports and inspections as required, maintaining accurate records of work completed.

Requirements:

  1. City and Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a good grasp of the English language (verbal and written).
  3. Ability to work extra hours as required, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  4. Current driving licence and ability to travel to customer sites.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. CSCS Card.
  2. SSSTS or SMSTS.
  3. Confined Space Training.
  4. Forklift truck, MEWP, Crane experience.
