About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical engineering designs and solutions for a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support the development of their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct site surveys, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare and review detailed design calculations, specifications, and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
Requirements
  • Accredited Building Services/Mechanical Engineering degree or higher educational qualification.
  • Chartered engineer or working towards membership.
  • Proven experience in mechanical building services engineering, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
