We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to enhance our expanding Electrical and Electronic division within a leading OEM. This role is based in a state-of-the-art facility in the Warwick area.

The successful candidate will engage in various new vehicle development initiatives focused on passenger electric vehicles for the European market.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Principal Systems Engineer, your primary duties will include:

  • Integration, development, and testing of Electrical and Electronic systems across multiple domains, including ADAS/AD, HVAC, and Body systems.
  • Conceptualization, design, and proof of concept for innovative systems and features.
  • Facilitating the delivery of Systems Engineering artifacts throughout the complete V-cycle, employing model-based design and systems engineering methodologies.
  • Conducting analysis and benchmarking of market-available features.
  • Developing and testing hardware and software solutions on test benches (e.g., MIL/SIL/HIL) and vehicles using commercial simulation and validation tools (e.g., Simulink, IPG, dSPACE, NI).
  • Overseeing the Engineering sign-off process through DVP and reporting on development progress from conception to test execution.
  • Supporting software development and testing utilizing programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and Matlab/Simulink.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification with extensive knowledge in a relevant technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering processes, methods, and the development, prototyping, and testing of control strategies.
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Enterprise Architect and DOORS.
  • Experience in data acquisition and analysis of substantial data sets.
  • Practical knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: C, C++, Python, or Matlab/Simulink.
