Deputy Chief Finance Officer Job Opportunity

BELMONT RECRUITMENT is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Chief Finance Officer to join Medway NHS Trust on a 3 to 6 month contract with the possibility of extension. This role will provide additional capacity to support the delivery of the Trust's financial plan for 2023/24 and implement its medium-term financial recovery plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Chief Finance Officer, Executive Directors, and key staff to ensure a clear understanding of the Trust's financial position and forecast outturn.
  • Work with the Finance Team and Project Management Office (PMO) to develop and report on efficiency savings, linking them to the overall Trust financial position and forecast outturn.
  • Identify and work through additional efficiency opportunities with the PMO and Divisional leads, utilizing benchmark data and tools such as the Model Hospital.
  • Support the Chief Finance Officer in overseeing the financial risk management program, ensuring robust action plans are in place to meet efficiency targets and mitigate income and financial risks.
