Deputy Chief Finance Officer Opportunity

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Chief Finance Officer to join Medway NHS Trust on a 3 to 6 month contract, with the potential for extension. This role will provide additional capacity to support the delivery of the Trust's financial plan for 2023/24 and implement its medium-term financial recovery plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Chief Finance Officer, Executive Directors, and key staff to ensure a clear understanding of the Trust's financial position and forecast outturn.
  • Work with the Finance Team and Programme Management Office (PMO) to develop and implement efficiency savings initiatives.
  • Identify and prioritize additional efficiency opportunities, utilizing benchmark data and tools.
  • Support the Chief Finance Officer in overseeing financial risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of the medium-term financial recovery plan.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Deputy CFO or CFO role in a complex NHS acute provider.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering financial improvement programs.
  • Knowledge of NHS financial issues and regulations.

Location: Kent, Gillingham

Hourly rate negotiable based on experience.
