Person Specification- Degree educated or equivalent academic or healthcare professional qualification or equivalent knowledge.
- Currently working at SDM level.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- A demonstrable capacity and capability for operational/clinical service management at middle level in an acute hospital environment or similarly complex organisation.
- Managing complex issues with staff using HR policies and procedures.
- Able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the RTT and other constitutional standards.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the elective pathway, and challenges of theatre utilization.
- Broad understanding of the NHS Strategies and key issues affecting the service.
- RTT principles.
- Evidence of project management experience.
- Works well under pressure and does not allow deadlines to adversely impact on interpersonal communication or quality of work.
- Able to communicate effectively with senior medical staff, corporate directors, and other senior managers across the trust.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Aptitude to enhance personal development and own skills.
- Knowledge and awareness of issues affecting NHS acute hospitals.
- Quick learner, able to access appropriate information and advice, and imbue confidence and trust.
- To meet deadlines and priorities often under considerable pressure and in tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Team working with staff from a variety of disciplines and levels of seniority.
- Analysing data and preparation of reports.
- Investigation of incidents or complaints.
- Evidence of project management experience.
- Understanding of the complexity of the NHS and the likely changes over the next 3-5 years.
