Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide specialist care to patients with breast cancer, working closely with the Breast Care nursing team to develop and implement a seamless service. This will involve providing expert clinical care, ensuring patient safety and well-being, and promoting dignity through patient-first principles.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist care to patients with breast cancer, including those in the NHS breast screening programme and those with metastatic disease.
- Develop and implement a seamless service, working closely with the Breast Care nursing team.
- Ensure patient safety and well-being, promoting dignity through patient-first principles.
- Attend and support sessions for delivery of breaking bad news.
- Explore and introduce innovative ways of working with the Multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to continuously improve the care of cancer patients within the hospital and community.
We are looking for an experienced and skilled nurse with:
- Appropriate experience in breast cancer care.
- Evidence of triage and managing competing priorities.
- Experience in MDT working.
- Communication skills training.
- NMC registration.
