Revenue Protection Officer - North Wales

We are Centrica, a family of brands revolutionising a cleaner, greener future. As a Revenue Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in preventing, detecting, and investigating instances of energy theft by Residential or Business customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate data to identify instances of energy theft and develop strategies to prevent it
  • Visit customer premises to investigate suspected instances of theft of gas and abstraction of electricity
  • Present findings to customers in a professional and assured manner
  • Deliver exceptional customer service skills, upholding the British Gas brand image while showing empathy
  • Negotiate outcomes and communicate the process to customers
  • Manage first-line complaints and know when to escalate
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with local engineers, the Police, and other stakeholders
  • Represent British Gas as a professional witness in Court
  • Promote safety and environmental policies, ensuring procedures are understood and deployed throughout the business
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Understanding of the energy industry from a technical and commercial perspective
  • Understanding of supply licence conditions relevant to theft of energy
