Student Cover Supervisor Opportunity

Milk Education is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Student Cover Supervisors for the 2024/2025 academic year in the Burnley area.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable experience in a school setting, supporting the education of young people and developing their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the classroom in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Support the delivery of lessons, working closely with the department to ensure a high-quality educational experience.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements
  • A DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
  • Two recent references.
  • A proactive nature and a willingness to engage with young people.
  • Availability to work three to five days per week, with flexibility to accommodate university timetables.
  • An understanding of the needs of young people and the issues facing them in 2024, including challenges around social media, exploitation, and knife crime awareness.
