Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in the BB12 area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional needs, providing academic and social support, and assisting the teacher with tracking progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the child with additional needs in a 1:1 setting, focusing on academic and social development.
  • Provide support to the child in both academic and social areas, including maths and English interventions.
  • Assist the teacher with paperwork, tracking the progress of the child, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaise with the class teacher and parents to ensure the best possible support for the child.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a SEN setting.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to the different needs of the child.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with parents and other staff.
  • Good safeguarding knowledge and understanding of child protection policies.
