As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's financial records, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit control, with experience in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, raising credit notes and miscellaneous invoices, and accurately processing cash, checks, charge card payments, and credit account payments in line with company cash handling procedures.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing and reconciling financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Raising and managing credit notes and miscellaneous invoices
  • Managing and maintaining the company's aged debt records
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a similar credit control position, with a strong understanding of financial transactions and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
  • AAT L2,3,4 qualification or working towards them
  • Confidently be able to navigate and use Sage packages
